The Cedars stands as one of the nation’s most significant artistic and cultural landmarks. For over a century, this heritage property in Hahndorf has embodied the Heysen family’s deep connection to art, culture and nature. It was here that Hans created his iconic gum tree landscapes and Nora grew to become the first woman to win the Archibald Prize and be appointed Australia's first official war artist. Their dedication to creativity, conservation, and education continues to inspire visitors today.
